Carbon Fabric

Carbon Fibre is a strong material that is also very lightweight. Carbon is five times stronger than steel and twice as stiff. With Carbon Fibre being stronger, stiffer and lighter than steel, it makes the ideal manufacturing material for many parts. Carbon Fibre filaments are supplied in a bundle of between 1,000 and up to 72,000 filaments (the filaments in Carbon are recognised by the letter K, 1K = 1000 filaments 3K = 3000 filaments).

What We Offer

The standard range of Woven Carbon Fibre Fabrics available on the market includes plain, twill and satin weave patterns. The earliest fabrics were based on 3k fibres with typical weight around 200g to 285g per square meter. However, with the development of lighter and heavier tows such as 1K, 6k, 12k, 24k and more recently 48k and upwards. The Carbon range of fabric weight has increased from 90g to 1200g. The development of 1k fibre also means fabrics around 90g to 120g can be produced with good quality. Carbon Fibre is very popular in many industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, Military, and Recreational applications.
