Raps
E-Glass raps are produced from needle mat cut to shape then wrapped around a cardboard core with the same initial diameter as the silencers perf. The needle mat is wrapped around the tube to form the exact external diameter to enable the rap to be inserted into the silencer and the tube removed.
The raps can be supplied to any size and can be manufactured with or without Stainless Steel Wire Wool.
To enhance the performance and life span of the rap they can be fully covered on the inner and outer by a knitted glass sleeve.

Cut shapes
Shapes cut from E-Glass needle mat are manufactured to the Customers specified requirements.

Preformed Shapes
For the more complicated mufflers, preformed shapes can be manufactured from E-Glass, Biosil or a suitable alternative fibre. These shapes are designed around the dimensions of the mufflers chambers for ease of fit. Using a muffler and pipes supplied by the Customer, moulds are precisely manufactured. The moulds are then filled with the appropriate fibre along with a bonding agent; these are then subjected to heat to form the shape. The shape is then trimmed, checked in the muffler prior to being packed.
