Woven / Coated Fabrics
Fabrics are produced from both continuous filament fibres and, where additional insulation values are required, from textured yarns.
The range of fabrics starts at 50 g/m2 and goes up to 3000 g/m2. There are a number of standard finishes that can be applied to give the fabric extra chemical resistance, water and abrasion resistance, etc.
Continuous filament fabrics form the bulk of our thermal insulation range, typically used for the manufacture of insulation jackets and insulation mattresses. Standard weights available; scrims between 50g/m2 and 100g/m2, thermal insulation fabrics typically start from 200g/m2 up to 3000g/m2, appropriate weave patterns and finishes are also available. Textured cloths are produced from texturised yarns and give the fabric more bulk and therefore a greater thickness to that of conventional fabrics, offering better insulation properties. Again, many finishes and high temperature treatments are available which will significantly enhance the performance of the fabrics. For further details get in touch.
