Based on a combination of Alumina (70%) and Silica (30%) the A.L.F range of products offer:
- Excellent thermal resistance working temperature up to 1395ºC
- Superior thermal insulation properties
- High tensile strength and modules
- Excellent electrical insulation properties
- Corrosion resistance
- Low moisture absorption
- Boron free Using
7 micron fibres which offer excellent flexibility, the A.L.F range is available as:-
- Woven fabrics
- Braided sleeves
- Tapes/Ropes
- Yarn – single and plied
- Sewing yarns
Current applications include:
- Thermal insulation rings
- Furnace linings
- Heat-shielding
- Thermal insulation sealers or packing materials
- Thermal insulation coverings for thermocouples, cables and wires
